Harout Fazlian
Conductor and Professor, Lebanese National Symphonic Orchestra
August 21, 2000
To whom it may concern,
I have known Miss Marie Awadis since 1997. I made her acquaintance
at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music where
I was suggested by some fellow professors to listen to her
playing the Piano. From our first meeting I found her to
be an extremely talented pianist.
As time went by I found that Miss Awadis not only is a talented
pianist but also a person with incredible qualities such
as never refusing a fellow musician on a request for help
in accompaniment or simple advice on piano technique. She
is a humble person, never refusing to listen to others if
she can further perfect her art.
In 1999, on my request, Miss Awadis was the accompanist
for my sixty pieces mixed choir. Her understanding of how
to work and perform under a Conductor was extremely surprising,
so much so that in the same year I chose her to be the main.
Pianist for the performance of Carl Orff 's "Carrmina
Burana" with the Lebanese National Orchestra and a
compilation of three local choirs, under my Direction.
Since the formation of the Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra,
Marie Awadis has been invited to perform the Schumann Piano
Concerto with the L.N.S.O. (Lebanese National Symphonic
Orchestra) on January 16, 2001 under my direction.
As a conductor, it is simply a pleasure to perform with
such a pianist. She is an artist in the true sense and such
artists should be financially encouraged to reach to their
maximum abilities.
I sincerely thank you for taking your time in reviewing
her application and I am sure you will come to the right
decision concerning Miss Marie Awadis.
Thank you
Respectfully yours,
Harout Fazlian

CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION
I am well aware, and personally know about the Creative
Artistic Life of MISS MARO YESSSAYAN for the past five (5),
years, within the Beirut musical circles. In fact, she is
always present through her active participation in the artistic
activities, be it in musical concerts or in piano playing.
During the years of her musical formation and studies, Miss
MARO YESSAYAN always proved to be as a very industrious
and hard piano player, very talented, and well-organized
musical studies' student.
I am more than convinced that, MISS MARO YESSAYAN will justify
with honor and success, all the technical creative high
problems encountered during her musical performances.

BOGHOS GELALIAN
Beirut, On September 10, 1997
ATTESTATION
To Whom It May Concern
I, the undersigned, BOGHOS GELLLIAN, hereby
certify that MISS MARIE KE0RK AWAD IS (Marie Awadis Yessayan),
(Of whom, I am the Piano Professor since nine months), is
potentially a very gifted personality.
During the above-mentioned comparatively short period,
she has realized tremendous progress, both, on instrumental
as well as on musical plans. If there is a delay (between
these two plans) then, this is due first, to the dirty civil
war prevailing for seventeen long years in Lebanon, then,
due to the overcharged and overloaded academic programs
of our schools and colleges and especially to the successive
incompetence of the professors, who failed to take the maximum
out of Marie's gifted talents.
And please, excuse me to draw your kind attention on the
fact, that, this young lady works hard to gain her life,
(and to partially assist her family), by giving numerous
piano lessons daily,
I am sure that, once this young lady is liberated from
these social contingencies, and pecuniary burdens, by the
grant of a scholarship then, Marie shall be able to increase
by fivefold her professional works and shall give by far,
better results.
On the other hand, Marie is beyond any reproach morally,
and her conduct is excellent, and she enjoys a high sense
of responsibility.
Please accept Dear Sirs, My best salutations and the expression
of my deep sentiments.
BOGHOS GEIALIAN,
Compositor and Piano Professor at the National Conservatory,
Presently Piano Professor at the University of Saint-Esprit
of Kaslik (Lebanon)
